SUMMER BIBLE BOOK CHALLENGE

“So the people of Judah gathered together to seek the Lord” (2 Chronicles 20:4).

There is power when people seek God not just individually, but together.

This summer, our prayer is that our congregation will seek the Lord as one, as we study a book of the Bible together.

We took a survey in the bulletins on  May 5 & May 12 giving everyone a chance to vote for or suggest a book of the Bible that you would like to study over the summer season.

The votes are as follows: James and 1 Petter (7 votes); Galatians and Ephesians (7 votes); Daniel and Jonah (6 votes); 1 and 2 Thessalonians (3 votes); Genesis (11 votes); 1 Kings (3 votes); Esther ( 1 vote); Proverbs (1 vote); Jude (1 vote); Revelation (1 vote); Romans (1 vote); Ruth (1 vote);

 The book with the most votes is Genesis. Therefore  week by week we will challenge each person to study that book at home. During worship, our sermons, songs, and liturgy will reflect on the book of Genesis.

Are you ready to study the Bible together? Be sure to vote for the book that you would like to study!
