TWO SPECIAL SERVICES COMING

Transfiguration Sunday as well as the first Sunday in Lent are coming up. Here is what you need to know

TRANSFIGURATION SUNDAY – MARCH 3

Jesus had just predicted His death, and the disciples may have felt saddened. But just aer His death announcement, Jesus took a select group of disciples up the mountain to be transfigured — the appearance of His face changed and His clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning (Luke 9:25). The disciples got a preview of the glorified Jesus to come. They saw that death would not be the final chapter for Jesus, but greater things were coming. That is the hope Jesus gives us all. Join in celebra*ng the transfigura*on of the Lord on March 3 as we put our faith in a powerful God who conquered death and will come again!

FIRST SUNDAY IN LENT AND HOLY COMMUNION – MARCH 10

This year, March 10 marks the first Sunday in Lent, the season which we set aside to remember more passionately in our hearts the great sacrifice Jesus made to save us from our sins and give us life both now and forever. On this first Sunday, we will celebrate Holy Communion in remembrance of the life Jesus shared and the blood He shed for us.
